What Are We Doing Wrong, and What are They doing right?  Why Have more Jews Converted to Christianity in the Last 19 Years
than in the Last 1,900 Years?

In this provocative lecture, Rabbi Singer explains why the Messianic movement has succeeded in the last two decades where the church has failed in the last two millennia. "Less than 14 Messianic congregations existed in the U.S. two decades ago as compared to the more than 200 congregations in this country actively attracting and recruiting today," he says. Rabbi Singer explores the methodology behind these overwhelming statistics and examines what makes the conversion attractive to Jews who would otherwise resist. What are the new techniques, and why the Jews?

How do Missionaries Paint Jesus
Into the Jewish Scriptures?

This is a program where Rabbi Singer demonstrates how missionaries use the Jewish Scriptures for the purpose of evangelizing and ultimately converting the Jewish people to Christianity. He illustrates how verses in the Hebrew Scriptures are manipulated, misquoted, taken out of context, mistranslated, and even invented by overzealous missionaries in order to make Jesus' life fit traditional Jewish messianic parameters, and to make traditional Jewish messianic parameters fit the life of Jesus.

Sin and Atonement

There is no article of faith that is more central to the Church than the belief in the atoning value of Jesus' sacrificial death at Calvary. Missionaries never miss an opportunity to point out the inability to expiate sin "without the shedding of blood." Is this claim really true? In this crucial lecture, Rabbi Singer compares the concepts of sin and atonement as set forth by Christianity and Judaism utilizing a thorough presentation of their biblical sources.

Isaiah 53 - Parts I, II, and III

Undoubtedly, there is no scripture in the Hebrew Bible that missionaries point to with greater confidence than these well-known passages that describe the Suffering Servant. Fundamentalist Christians are absolutely certain that anyone who reads Isaiah 53 will be convinced that the Jewish prophet spoke of no other one than Jesus of Nazareth. It is for this reason that "Isaiah 53" has launched more bumper stickers and T-Shirts than any other chapter in the Bible. In this three-tape set Rabbi Singer clearly demonstrates how the fourth Servant Song of Isaiah has been completely misapplied and misused by these overzealous evangelists.

The Trinity, Isaiah 9:5-6,
and Zechariah 12:10
-- Parts I and II

A
lthough Hebrew-Christians give monotheism much lip-service, a careful examination of their beliefs will reveal that what they maintain is indistinguishable from the Trinitarian dogma the Church has been espousing for nearly two millennia. The only thing that perhaps distinguishes the Messianic movement from its Christian forbears is their unyielding insistence that the doctrine of the Trinity can be proved from the Jewish scriptures. This two-part lecture begins by examining this claim along with scriptures, such as Isaiah 9:5-6, that missionaries tout to support it. Finally, Rabbi Singer delves into Zechariah 12:10, a verse that missionaries maintain is a clear reference to the crucifixion.

The Law of Moses and the
New Covenant

Were the commandments, transmitted by Moses, intended by God to be observed for all time, or temporarily? Missionaries contend that Jews no longer need to keep the mitzvot (commandments). Why not? Because Jesus already fulfilled them, and we are now under the New Covenant. Are these claims valid? Do they accurately portray the message of the Jewish scriptures? In this exciting lecture Rabbi Singer answers these very questions.

Daniel 9 and Psalm 110 & 2:12
-- Parts I and II

For missionaries dedicated to Jewish evangelism, the ninth chapter of the Book of Daniel stands out as one of the most valuable tools of the trade. These evangelists insist that the last few verses of this chapter very vividly point to the messiah's vicarious death. Moreover, they assert that the timetable provided by Daniel in this chapter correlates perfectly with the date of Jesus' death. In this two-part lecture, Rabbi Singer examines this claim and unravels the most elaborate Christian reconstruction of the Jewish scriptures. In this series he also addresses alleged references by the Psalmist to Jesus.

Confused Texts and Testimonies
-- Parts I and II

This program is quite a departure from its predecessors. Rather than responding to points made by missionaries, Rabbi Singer takes the offensive, raising some questions of his own. Fundamental issues such as incongruity to classical messianic prophecies, the authorship of the New Testament, Jesus' genealogy, and the crucifixion and resurrection narratives are all called into question.

The Oral Law
-- Parts I and II

One of the most fundamental principles of the Jewish faith is the belief that God transmitted to Moses both a Written Law and an Oral Law on Mount Sinai more than 3,300 years ago. What is the Oral Law, and why was it transmitted that way? Christianity contends that although the Written Law is the word of God, the Oral Law was actually an invention of the rabbis! Is this claim really true, or is the Oral Law indeed a divinely inspired tradition that chains its way back to Mount Sinai? What is the evidence for the Oral Law? What does the Bible really say? In this extraordinary two-part lecture, Rabbi Singer answers these questions and explores some of Judaism's most remarkable teachings.

Bethlehem and The Messiah:
 What's the Connection?

As the church has zealously targeted the Jewish people for conversion for nearly two millennia, its missionaries have repeatedly insisted that the Jewish scriptures prove that Jesus is the promised Jewish Messiah. Moreover, Christian missionaries assert that even the birthplace of Jesus was foretold by the Jewish prophet Micah. Is this assertion true? Does the fifth chapter of the book of Micah indeed foretell that the Messiah is to be born in Bethlehem? In this exciting lecture, Rabbi Singer carefully examines this claim, along with Christianity's systematic theology, and how it evolved.

Who is the Messiah?
-- Parts I and II

In this ground-breaking lecture, Rabbi Tovia Singer carefully homes in on the fundamental underpinnings of the Jewish-Christian debate. Is the conflict between the Jewish people and the Church essentially on whether or not Jesus is the messiah, or is Jesus merely the symptom of our differences?

In this fascinating two-part series, Rabbi Singer begins by examining the missionary claim that Genesis 49:10 clearly testifies that the Jewish people are never to be without a reigning king from the tribe of Judah. These evangelicals also point out that Judaism, as practiced today, uses neither sacrifices nor high priest to atone for the sins of the people as described in the Book of Leviticus. They maintain, however, that God must have, and indeed has, provided Jesus as king, sacrifice, and high priest. These Christians conclude, therefore, that modern Judaism must be defective, lacking the essential ecclesiastical functions of Davidic king, blood sacrifice, and high priest as outlined in the Bible. Is this a valid claim? What does scripture reveal about the unique era preceding the Messianic age?

Finally, Rabbi Singer probes the fundamental theological issues underlying the concept of the messiah and his mission which separate Judaism from her younger rival. What is Christianity's quintessential message that the nation of Israel finds so objectionable? What does the Bible really say?

Judaism and Christianity On Satan:
Why We Differ
  -- Parts I and II

In this provocative lecture, Rabbi Singer delves into one of the most crucial theological differences between Judaism and the Church: Satan and Original Sin. Missionaries insist that man is totally depraved as a result of Satan's unyielding power in the world, and man's only hope for eternal salvation is through the cross. Is this claim true? What does Judaism teach about Satan? What does the Bible really say? Utilizing a thorough presentation of Jewish and Christian biblical sources, Rabbi Singer will answer these questions and examine why Judaism and Christianity differ on the subject of Satan.

Bearers of the Torch
-- Parts I and II

Ever since its beginnings nearly two millennia ago, the church has declared that the unique role of guardians of the sacred scriptures and witnesses to the divine teachings of the Almighty no longer belongs to the nation of Israel. The church fathers and reformers, as if with one voice, maintained that the observance of the Law has been relegated to obsolescence, and the Jewish people merely wallow in spiritual blindness. They brazenly declared that the body of Christian believers - Christ's church - is God's true elect and the rightful heirs to the biblical faith of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Is this claim really true? The Bible declares that the role of the Chosen People is eternally unique and His people are to be the Almighty's "Witnesses" throughout all time. What have we witnessed? To what are we testifying? What is being called into question? By what means can the Jew of the modern age declare his testimony? In this new two-part tape series, Rabbi Singer answers these questions as he takes his audience on an extraordinary study exploring the unique covenantal role of the Jewish people throughout history until today.
